DirtyLaundryDiva is just a regular housewife like you!

Well I spent the day doing laundry, pressing NewscasterHottie’s work shirts, washing dishes, vacuuming the house, dusting and all that. Yes, I do clean my own home and all that jazz.

CrazyRantingLady and some other family are possibly visiting us this weekend so I have to get my home together. Can’t give CrazyRantingLady any ammunition, she is always looking for something to criticize or hold over my head, the evil witch…

Anyway, after my cleaning spree I jumped in the shower, washed the dust off me, got all silky soft and shaved, put on some some cute undies and sat in front of the TV waiting for NewscasterHottie to come home… What? even DirtyLaundryDiva has work to take care of her man and keep him interested. Besides we are trying to make a baby but this post is not about baby making or sex, I am getting side tracked…

So, it shouldn’t be surprising that I clean my home, cut NewscasterHottie’s hair, press and clean his dress clothes and pluck his eyebrows. He doesn’t have any fancy wardrobe or hair allowance, his clothes don’t go to the dry cleaner and we don’t live the high life even though he has a high profile career…

If we made more money we would certainly live better but having a regular house cleaning crew or taking all our clothes to the cleaner is not my idea of optimal living. I would rather buy a home, a hybrid car and perhaps a farm with excess income, but we don’t have any extra income. This still amazes many people.

Just the other day our neighbor recognized NewscasterHottie as the “news guy” and was all “why would you live in a neighborhood like this? You should be living in an exclusive private community or something!”

News Flash: We are regular people just like you! NewscasterHottie just happens to work on TV (and he does NOT make bank).

If you had money to spend would you want a mansion, a housecleaning crew, a cook, a driver, etc. or do you think that opting for all that is just plain ole laziness?

  1. Well, if I had TONS of money so that I never had another worry, I think I would have someone clean my house for me. It would be awfully nice not to ever have to do that again. I could handle everything else pretty easily if I never had to clean a toilet or mop a kitchen floor again!

  2. If i had tons of money I will find somebody to sporadically clean our home. Our house is one mess and my allergies are burning… :( I can’t clean, like really clean, since the dust can cause me allergies and asthma… But I love doing a bit of housekeeping every once in a while since I have my obsessive compulsive ways of how things should go.

  3. If I had alot of money, I would probably love someone to come through once a week and do all the housework I have’t had a chance to do. But aside from that, I doubt anything much would change in our lives.

  4. I’d definatly have to have a maid. I can handle the cooking. I’d also have to build a bigger house but then I live in a 2 bed room trailer house LOL

  5. I would have someone clean my house and I would dry clean the clothes…well some of them, the ones that say “dry clean” on the label..right now I don’t buy dry clean clothes.

I would like to have a house with a pool and a fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 3 bath and a fixed basement. No big mansion though.
