When you tell someone you are going to do something you are giving them reason to expect that you will do what you say. Is this a difficult concept to grasp?

I am so damn annoyed with flaky people who can’t live up to what they tell you. Why the hell did you say it if you weren’t gong to be able to do it? Is it that you just like to mess with people or that you just don’t have the balls to tell it like it is? Perhaps you just don’t know you are an unreliable ass yet?

Whatever the reason, this is an issue far too many people struggle with and frankly it is annoying the crap out of me! I have far too many examples of this flakish, shitty behavior right now…

For starters, NewscasterHottie is in the midst of a job search, his contract is up in August. He has had several phone interviews but just recently was flown out for a face to face interview. A contract offer was made, we counter offered and have been told we will receive a phone call/ new offer…

The problem is that each time we are told we will get a call we don’t, then we get an email a few days later with an excuse about why they were unable to call when they said they would. Then we are given another promise about when we will get the new offer/ call and surprisingly it never comes! This has happened 5 times already!

Also, we were expecting a visit from CrazyRantingLady and family this weekend. This visit has been put off by them twice before. Today we got word that the visit will once again not happen and we were given some useless excuses about why.

All these broken promises and shitty excuses are just ridiculous. Don’t commit if you can’t follow through, it is a simple concept that millions of other people manage to grasp. Didn’t your mother teach you about commitment and keeping your word? Fuckers!
