Havin babies, Oh man am I bitter!
Dirty Laundry Diva I love hearing about mothers who unnaturally conceive multiple babies and then decide to have them all, or about teens who become pregnant and then decide to have the baby and not care for it. It even annoys me when well meaning adults have kids they know they can’t afford!
Why am I bitching about everyone having babies? I think the most important thing is the quality of life for the child and these days it just seems like nobody really takes this seriously!
Can you nurture you child and pay for food or are you relying on the welfare system or your family to do it for you? Are you ready to put your life on the back burner just so that you can give your child all the love and attention it needs?
I don’t buy into all that crap about “if it happens it is meant to be” when it relates to unprepared parents bringing a child into the world! News flash, it is not about you it is about them! Don’t have babies unless you are 100% ready to give them the absolute best childhood.
Seriously who in their right minds thinks they can nurture and raise sextuplets or some other ungodly amount of multiples that weren’t even naturally conceived in the first place? Just because you can have that many babies at once (medically speaking) doesn’t mean it is natural or best!
What kind of life will those kids have, don’t you think having to fight for attention and having your parents stretched too thin will impact those kids? … and don’t even get me started on kids having kids!
I guess I am just bitter huh? I just think there are way to many parents exploiting their children, not raising them to the best of their ability, not preparing adequatly for parenthood and in general just not thinking of the child’s needs first and formost. So many people should not be parents!

Sweetie, you need to get pregnant, okay? Then I swear the bitterness gets much easier and you tend to not stress so much.
How is it all going?

I agree that there are a lot of people out there that exploit their kids, or just shouldn’t have had them in the first place. But quality of life is a matter of perspective. One person may think it’s necessary to be able to buy all their clothes at Gymboree and enroll the kid in expensive preschools and such. But will the child feel that way? Children are simple creatures, they just want love. And food of course. People definitely need to be more self reliant and get off the welfare rolls, but I don’t think wealth is necessary to raise a child; in fact I think it’s more often detrimental in the long run.

Ask any toddler, as far as they’re concerned clothes are optional.
I agree 100% with you. It kills me when women get pregnant with like 10 babies (because of medicine) at once but won’t abort any of them because “God will make that the decision” Well, sounds like God made the decision he didn’t want you to have babies in the first pace but you went to outside means to get pregnant ANYWAY. Don’t use God as an excuse just when you feel like it.
I would love nothing more than to have another baby, but NO WAY can we afford another one. We barely make it with the two we do have. Sure, my husband and I can have unprocted sex and if it happens, then it just happens, but you know what… my checkbook says NO! it can’t happen.
