Pull your head out of your ass, ass!
Dirty Laundry Diva People never cease to amaze me with their lack of tolerance. Just the other day someone I know was arrested for beating a couple of gay guys at an event. NewscasterHottie knew someone who received the press release and mug shots of the attackers. He thought one of the guys looked familiar so he consulted me, it was someone we saw on a day to day basis for about 6 months, an acquaintance who always seemed like a “loose cannon”.
I found a copy of the news cast online and made a video of it to share with you.
I personally hope they get the highest punishment possible! I mean it is just sickening to me how another human being can just target someone simply over a personal prejudice. Give me a break guys, a long term boyfriend of mine realized he was gay while we were dating, after 4 years! If I can be accepting of them so can you!
The guys that were attacked weren’t hurt as badly as other have been (like Dixie Landers) but I still hope they get what is comming to them, acting out that way is just not acceptable, ever!
The event was called Pride in the Pines so it was clearly a gay lesbean event, if you don’t approve of their lifestyle don’t attend the event and get in the middle of it all. It is not your choice or preference, we get that but remembr that this country is about freedom, right?
Freedom means people are free to choose and live as they wish right? So what gives you the right to decide which choices and decisions are truly “right”? If you are not willing tollerate the choices and prefereance of others then freedom doesn’t really exist does it? Or perhps instead of just saying “freedom” we should say “freedom to choose what we rule as acceptable” huh?
Folks you can’t have your cake and eat it too, either we are a free country or we are not. Seems to me like it is more the latter these days and it makes me sad. So what do you think, are we truly free?
I think the gay rights issues, the abortion debates and a whole slew of other stuff kind of spells it out doesn’t it? We like to say we are free but in all reality we can’t deal with someone doing something we don’t agree with… Yet nobody talks about this or acknoledges the truth. So many people just live with their heads up their asses, that just sucks!

Where I grew up in Palm Springs there is a HUGE gay community, several gay oriented businesses, and gay pride events practically every weekend. It’s totally normal to see gay and lesbian couples holding hands as they walk down the street or kissing. But there is a marine base nearby and often marines will come down on a weekend for a joy ride, not realizing they’re entering a gay community. When they figure it out they often freak out. Usually they just leave, but sometimes they do some pretty nasty stuff.

I always thought that people who attacked gay people were more than likey afraid that they were gay too and didn’t know what to do with those emotions.
Growing up there was a friend who was always “fag this” and “fag that” and totally made fun of gay people. He has yet to come out of the closet to his friends although everyone knows that he’s in a long term committment. He never beat anyone..but his verbal abuse was his way of being frustrating.
I hope that are punished to the full extent of the law.
