When did it become acceptable to be a total ass to everyone around you?

Why did this guy feel it was acceptable to do construction work at 7 freaking AM on a Sunday morning? Some people like to sleep past 7am on weekends and your tractor sounds and pounding don’t really make that possible. I understand that you are in a hurry to cram two manufactured homes on to that lot you own so that you can make some fast money but give it a freaking rest on the weekend buddy, thanks!
Why customer service reps insist on providing generic responses to you when you are asking specific, non idiotic questions.
Me: I am wondering if I can join and open some accounts prior to our relocation in September. We are members of a credit union here but will need to move our money to a new bank prior to moving to out there. Can we open an account with you before we arrive?

Yep, I get that if you live there you can join, we will live there in a few weeks and we’ll qualify. I already read all that info on your website BEFORE I contacted you. Thanks for not reading or answering my question, guess I should find a different bank that wont provide me with generic responses and who will take the time to read my corespondences, thanks!

We have a new shopping center next to us. During it’s construction, some kind of earth moving machine was fired up every weekday morning, AND SATURDAYS, at 8:00AM promptly. At least they did give it a rest on Sundays.
The machine would go “WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP” and the windows would rattle. This would go on for about 3-4 hours a day. One day a few things actually rattled off a shelf and fell to the floor. I knew that we’d soon have a new Chipotle, Quiznos and Cost Plus next to us, so it’d be worth it. I’m sorry all you get is a couple of manufactured homes.
I’m going to go get a burrito and a lovely imported statue of Buddha now.
Doesn’t the credit union sound like come cult member who is only supposed to say one thing and one thing only? Creepy.
All financial institutions are evil. Nuff said.
Two years in a row, construction work started at 6 am on the first day of a week-long holiday. There’s nothing like a jackhammer going under your window on one of the few days you can sleep in.

It’s the same with telephone CS reps who begin every conversation with a scripted apology and end by asking if there’s anything else they can do for you even if all they’ve done is push you to the brink of suicide.

I live outside the city. One neighbor has chickens, another has goats. I got used to that. The neighbor with a motorcycle that has to ‘warm up’ at 6am every day including Sunday get me.

Oh, don’t you just love the scripted responses to any question you get whether it’s the bank, your cable or gas company or a credit card customer service rep, etc? I actually like it best when they read it right off the paper and stumble over a word or two. When that happens I always say “It’s okay…just start again and read slowly”. Then I hang up.
In the building complex where I live we have the most eager to work early in the morn maintenance men EVER. They can’t WAIT until 7am on Saturday mornings to start banging trash cans around and firing up all manner of industrial equipment for our listening pleasure. And if it’s not loud, they won’t use it. Not OUR guys! Hey, guys…just wait until you see your non tip this Xmas!
